This classic sensor is the ideal solution for targeted monitoring of areas in front of houses and driveways. It offers excellent detection quality and can be customised to the specific conditions on site. The motion detector is so quick and easy to wire that your neighbour won't even notice it has been installed. The resulting voltage jump is converted by the system into an electronic pulse that switches on the light. People emit infrared radiation due to their body heat. This radiation is used by infrared sensor technology to recognise movement and react accordingly. The range of infrared sensors depends on the direction of movement. The IS 130-2 has a maximum range of 12 m for tangential movement (parallel to the sensor), which is reduced for radial movement (towards the sensor). In addition, the detection range can be restricted using the cover plates supplied. Fresnel lenses consist of many individual lenses arranged next to each other in a circular segment. The maximum detection angle is 180°. What is included in the delivery? In addition to the motion sensor, 2x wall plugs, 2x matching screws and sensor cover plates for adjusting the detection area are supplied. The sensor switches on for no recognisable reason. What could be the reason for this? Gusts of wind can cause short-term temperature fluctuations, which can lead to incorrect switching. Other triggers can also be exhaust air openings in the house wall or animals in the detection area. Why does the motion detector not achieve the specified maximum range? For technical reasons, PIR sensors react best in a tangential direction of movement (parallel to the sensor). If the direction of movement is radial (towards the sensor), the detection range is reduced. Is the sensor waterproof? The motion sensor is protected against splash water (IP54) and can therefore be installed outdoors without any problems. How high can I mount the motion detector? The mounting height can be between 1.8 and 3 metres. A height of 2 m would be ideal for the sensor. If mounted higher, the maximum possible detection range is reduced. Floodlight for your home.
